Business Studies Recap Day 15 - Human Resources Data
On day 15 of the Year 12 Recap we look at the different types of data that can be collected relating to the human resources department of the business.
Businesses collect and analyse data relating to the performance of the human resources element of the business to try and assess the productivity, motivation and commitment levels of workers to the business. The labour turnover rate shows the natural churn rate of labour over the course of the trading year. Labour productivity shows the output that is produced per employee per period. The absenteeism rate attempts to measure the proportion of days lost across the trading year due to unauthorised absences. Each of these measures attempts to measure a different aspect of HR performance.
